End of Vacation....

So I am blogging in my SUV while traveling on I 75 in Florida. (husband is driving I promise) Back home to the sunshine state, sorta, still a few hours till we get home thanks to living in SouthWest Florida. My husband has been busy trying to build our new site. If you haven't checked it out yet look at it, let me know what you think, www.theswingwife.com. He is in charge of all my technical stuff since I have absolutely no clue on all that. Hope to get the audience built up a bit so let your friends know ab out us.

Road trips always bring up interesting conversations between my husband and I. Everything from religion to LS topics and how religion and the LS interfere with each other. We saw one sign in Georgia this morning that talked about sexuality and the Bible. They put Lev 18:22 so what did we do, we googled it (like everything else). It talked mainly about having sex with family members and that being a sin. It had one line about a man not being about to lay with another man as he would a woman in between all of the paragraphs talking about acts of incest. I am bringing this up because I want your opinions. For myself this has been one of the stumbling blocks for me mentally because I was raised in the church and we do go to church as a family as often as we can.

My stance is that #1 the Bible has been translated into many different languages, God only knows how many times. I feel like some translation has been skewed at different times to correlate with popular beliefs at that time. Now we do not know what parts were skewed, if any, or how many were mis interpreted as well. I have a really hard time believing that something is so a matter of the fact aside from the ten commandments.

My #2 issue is that I truly believe that things like being bi sexual, straight or even Gay is something that you do not choose. You are born a specific way and from day #1 you feel that way about people. I have experienced it and many in my family have experienced that. (side note: I also believe its genetic)

What do you all think? Is anyone out there struggling with the same issues, thoughts, ideas etc....???  Let me know! Would love to have reader involvement that I can include in the next blog.
